Our county covers about 4,752 square miles with a population of 10.2M.There is a diverse economic base in Los Angeles County using 2005 average employment as a measure. The leading industries: direct international trade with 290,300 jobs; tourism with 263,500; motion picture/TV production with 241,100; technology with 207,300; and business & professional services with 165,100.

A quick demographic profile of Los Angeles County indicates that : 44.6% of the population is Hispanic; 31.1% white non-Hispanic; 12.05 is Asian-Pacific Islander; and 9.5% is black. 70% of the population have a high school diploma or more, while 25% have a bachelor’s degree or more.
